The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry: Silence & Solitude

Mark 1:35-39

1. JESUS HIMSELF practiced silence and solitude.

What does your time, place, and act of silence and solitude look like?

1. The NEGLECT of silence and solitude COSTS US greatly.

                   The hurried life not only deprives us of life’s simple joys, buy also erodes the depth and richness of our spiritual connection. 

                    “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” - Mark 8:36

 

1. Silence and solitude TRANSFORM US.

                   “Be still and know that I am God” - Psalm 46:10

                   “He makes me lie down in green pastures.” - Psalm 23:1b

                   “But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.” - Habakkuk 2:20


 

Takeaway: 

We must VALUE God more than our TIME.
