Exodus 20:8-11

God created a rhythm for your life.

This rhythm of living, God Himself modeled and instituted.

Just as we are made in the image of the God who works, we are made in the image of the God who rests.

What is the Sabbath?

 

• A day of rest

• The Sabbath reminds us that we are finite.

• The Sabbath requires trust.

• A day of delight

• We delight in God.

• We delight in one another.

• We delight in creation.

• A day set apart

Exodus 20:8-11: the forgotten commandment
