We can feel stuck in the cycle of our past mistakes and our present condition - feeling hopeless that we will ever escape from our merry-go-round of failure. In this series, we will learn from the life and teachings of Paul, a man who described himself as the worst of all sinners, who found a new life and freedom in Christ.
HOW CAN I CHANGE?: PLANTED IN RHYTHMS
Acts 13:1-3
We first make our habits, and then our habits make us.
When we live in rhythm with Jesus our lives can radically change.
Our first rhythm that we need to learn to practice is: Worship
We must take ourselves out of the equation and make God the object of our worship.
Our second rhythm that we need to learn to practice is: Fasting
This practice makes us take our eyes off the things of this world. By doing so we can more successfully turn our attention to Christ.
The third rhythm we that we need to learn to practice is: Prayer
“The immediate purpose of prayer is the accomplishing of God’s will on earth; the ultimate purpose of prayer is the eternal glory of God.” – Warren Weirsbe
ACTS – Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication
Disciples make disciples, disciples live in rhythm with Jesus, and when we live in rhythm with Jesus our lives can radically change.
